Community Safety: Report an Incident

ISABC is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all Indian students in Bonn and Cologne. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for harassment, spam, and the extraction of phone numbers from our groups for unsolicited personal messaging.

How to Report Inappropriate Behavior

If you have received creepy, harassing, or unsolicited private messages from someone who found your number through the ISABC community, please follow these steps:

  1. Take a Screenshot: Capture the inappropriate message. Crucial: Please ensure the offender's phone number is clearly visible in the screenshot so we can identify and remove them.
  2. Protect Your Privacy: You are welcome to blur or crop out your own personal information, profile picture, or previous conversation history before uploading the proof.
  3. Submit the Form Below: Upload your screenshot securely using our reporting tool.

Your Privacy & Anonymity

We understand that reporting harassment can be uncomfortable. You have two options when submitting a report:

  • Completely Anonymous: You do not need to provide your name or contact info. We will review the evidence and ban the offending number from the ISABC network. (Note: We will not be able to follow up with you directly).
  • Request Board Support: If you would like the ISABC Board to connect with you, offer further assistance, or provide updates on the action taken, you can optionally leave your name and phone number. Your identity will be kept strictly confidential within the Board.

The Review Process

The ISABC Board conducts a comprehensive review of all submitted reports every Sunday to clean up the community and remove bad actors. However, severe cases of harassment or safety threats are escalated immediately. If you are in immediate danger, please contact local German authorities (Polizei - 110).
